Hypochlorous acid generator is a system which is produced by electrolysis of tap water through water purification system and is produced by a special electrolytic cell. The system produce hypochlorous acid (HOCl) with pH (5~6.5), redox potential (ORP value +750mv or more) and available chlorine (50~60mg/L), also produce sodium hydroxide (NaOH) with PH (10~12), redox potential(ORP value -800~900 mv).

The Purevita sodium hypochlorite generator generates a 0.8 % sodium hypochlorite solution through the electrolysis of brine, consuming only water, salt and electricity. By producing hypochlorite on-site and on-demand, the system eliminates concerns associated with transportation and storage of chlorine gas or commercial sodium hypochlorite solutions, making it ideal for any medium to large scale application requiring chlorination.

Electrolyser(electrodes or electrolysis cell) is designed for producing 8000ppm sodium hypochlorite through 0.3% brine, which is stable and safty running onsite. The electrodes is made of pure Titanium, with ruthenium & iridium oxide coating which ensure over 5 years coating life, over 18 years titanium base material, reduce the chlorine evolution potential and electricity consumption.

The electrolyzer is fed a DC current from the rectifier and electrolyzes the diluted brine into sodium hypochlorite solution. Chlorine evolves at the anode surface, while hydrogen and hydroxide evolves at the cathode surface. The secondary reaction of chlorine, sodium and the hydroxyl ion nets sodium hypochlorite (chlorine bleach) at a 0.8% solution. Below 1%, hypo is classified as a non-hazardous chemical although still a very effective disinfectant. The only by-product, hydrogen, is safely vented into the atmosphere.

Coating titanium anode is also referred to as Mixed Metal Oxide (MMO) titanium anode and Dimensionally Stable Anode (DSA), as well as Dimensionally Stable Electrode (DSE). By brushing precious metal coating on the titanium substrate, it can have a good electric catalytic activity and electrical conductivity.

The polarity reverse titanium electrolytic cell is utilized in sodium hypochlorite generators. Sodium hypochlorite solution is produced by electrolyzing a sodium chloride solution without a membrane and then diluting it.
